PARATHA MAKING MACHINE

PARATHA is a popular dish that has its origins in the Indian subcontinent, however, today it is a popular food consumed in many parts of Asia and wherever the Indian community has settled. It is a flatbread that is typically buttered and has either oil or ghee applied to it. The word paratha itself is the sum of two words. One of the words that makes up paratha is atta, which means dough in Hindi and Urdu. The second word is parat, which means cooked in the Indian languages. Thus, the introduction of the food is evident in the meanings of the word. Parathas are staple food in Punjabi cooking and widely popular in north Indian cuisine. In Punjab it is common to stuff flat bread with several vegetables or meats. In other parts of India and Pakistan, different varieties exist like flaky or multilayered.

The method of preparation has the following steps, first, a dough is prepared which is made from either whole wheat or all-purpose flour. Then this flat price of bread is cooked on a traditional Indian tawa. The last step is to shallow fry this cooked piece of bread. It may be cooked in butter, ghee or oil, depending on taste preferences and the availability of items.

A paratha is typically much thicker than the usually consumed roti. This is because the layering technique makes the bread much thicker. The layering process is similar to the making of a croissant or a puff pastry. Each layer has a coating of butter for that much coveted flaky taste.

A paratha is a popular breakfast dish and is thought as the perfect nutritious start to the day; however, its consumption is not limited to the morning time and may be eaten at any time of the day. It is also eaten at tea time and packed in lunchboxes of children and is taken by office workers as a tiffin snack. A paratha is typically eaten with a dollop of honey and butter at morning times and later in the day with mutton, potatoes or other fried vegetables. It is also eaten with eggs.

All in all, parathas are extremely tasty and nutritious. It is high in fiber and has other minerals and vitamins like iron, copper and manganese. This dish is gradually increasing in popularity and rightly so.
