SAGO is taken out from the core of the stems of Palms. In markets, sago is sold in the form of pearls that can be consumed by making them into a pudding. Sago can sometimes be confused with boba pearls, and it has been seen that boba pearls are sometimes sold as Sogo and this is done deliberately because Sago is a much more expensive food to extract and prepare than boba. However, to the keen eye differences between the two are evident. Sago pearls are even in shapes and sizes and quite brittle and their cooking time is also much shorter.
